Review
If you’re searching for a smartwatch that can do basic workouts, health monitoring, and message previews, the TickWatch Pro 3 is the device to get. It has a long-lasting battery, fast performance, a high-quality design, and more. While its Wear OS lacks the intricacy of device ecosystems seen in watchOS or Tizen wearables, it covers the essentials, such as phone call instructions and email/notification previews, as well as fitness monitoring.
Improved Design
The physical features of the TicWatch Pro 3 are excellent. The 1.4-inch OLED display is clear, colorful, and responsive to touch controls. There are also heartbeat and SpO2 sensors on the bottom of the watch case, as well as two navigation buttons on the right side. Aside from that, the overall appearance of the smartwatch is sleek and refined, with a matte black finish on the case and a glossy dial with thin bezels that set it apart from competitors.
Health Monitor
It features a heart rate monitor and SpO2 sensors, which are at satisfactory levels for users. Although the TicWatch Pro 3 does superb at tracking workouts, it didn’t do quite as well in tracking sleep, and it’s missing the ECG reading features of other top watches. But all the same, it’s a practicable alternative to the pricier smartwatches available in the market.
Long-lasting Battery Life
The Samsung Galaxy Watch used to be the king of the battery hill, lasting up to five days, but it’s now rivaled by the TicWatch Pro 3, which is one of the longest-lasting watches on the market. It has a battery life of up to 72 hours in Smart Mode, which allows you to enjoy thousands of apps and watch faces on the large Retina AMOLED watch screen, and up to 45 days in Essential Mode, which is activated automatically when the battery is down to its last 5%.
Ace Dual Display
Mobvoi’s Dual Display technology displays a low power consuming screen over a brilliant Retina AMOLED display, allowing battery conservation by switching between Smart Mode and Essential Mode.
Zippy Performance
The TicWatch Pro 3 uses the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100 Platform and Mobvoi dual-processor system, which makes it deliver higher and faster performance for the CPU, memory, and GPU, while simultaneously conserving battery life. The downside is that the Wear OS is not as intuitive as watchOS or even Tizen.
Comfortable to Wear
The TicWatch Pro 3 is a big watch that doesn’t feel big. Users have noted that it’s noticeably less chunky than its predecessor. It is strong yet light on the skin. It also comes with a replaceable and versatile silicone strap, with a padded leather appearance and orange stitching for aesthetics. Most importantly, it can comfortably compete with the more expensive Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. With a retail price of US$2994.99, the Ticwatch pro 3 is relatively cheaper, although still slightly expensive, considering the cool features one would have to forgo in purchasing it.
