Where to get it?

Review

One of the most appealing aspects of the Montblanc Summit 2 is that it does not resemble any other smartwatch on the market. The Montblanc Summit 2 appears to be a sophisticated dress watch or a clever everyday watch at first appearance, especially since it has an analog watch face.

The Montblanc Summit 2 is a superb sports wristwatch with its replaceable dial display, seamless connectivity, and handy collection of capabilities, thanks to its outstanding technological features.

Great Display

The 1.2-inch AMOLED screen on the Montblanc Summit 2 never seems cramped. The screen is stunning, the colors explode, and the default watch faces are as high-end as you’d expect from such a high-end item. Notifications and watch faces are both easy to read. With a 390 x 390 resolution, the screen looks sharp, and the black levels are so deep that it’s tough to discern where the bezel begins and ends.

Powered by Snapdragon 3100 chipset

The Montblanc Summit 2 is the world’s first smartwatch to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor, and it shows. This smartwatch is highly responsive, thanks to its 1GB of RAM. It’s also fantastic news in terms of performance. In day-to-day use, the Summit 2 is one of the few Wear OS smartwatches that hasn’t displayed any latency or stutter. Moving through Google’s Wear OS operating system is seamless, and responding to or clearing notifications is quick. It takes only a few seconds to summon the Assistant, either with a hot word or by tapping the crown. The Summit 2’s use of modern hardware offers it a performance advantage over its rivals.

Day-long battery

While the Always-on Display feature is turned off on most Wear OS smartwatches, the watch displays a blank screen when you’re not looking at it. In the end, this serves to extend the life of the battery. The Montblanc Summit 2, on the other hand, has a 340mAh battery that can easily last a day, even with the Always-on Display turned on.

Fitness and special features

The Summit 2’s Google Fit app is a swipe away from the watch face and helps you keep track of basic fitness indicators. Although it can track heart rate, the watch has its own built-in heart rate app that doesn’t sync with Google Fit. If you want your heart rate to sync with your Google account, you must first open the Google Fit app. Apart from the fact that it is quite pricey, this is most likely the watch’s disadvantage. It doesn’t have any fitness features.

NFC, GPS Support

NFC compatibility means you can make payments with Google Pay, and GPS support means you can use the watch to log runs or navigate using Google Maps. However, you’ll need to download third-party software for these.

5ATM Water resistance

The Montblanc Summit 2 has a water resistance certification of 5ATM, indicating that it may be submerged for up to 50 meters.

Compatible with both android and iOS

The Montblanc Summit 2 is compatible with both iOS 10 and Android 6.0 devices and runs on Google’s WearOS operating system. Bluetooth or Wifi connectivity are both options for connecting it to your phone. You may use the Summit 2 to monitor and control your smartphone after it is connected.
